Membership
Membership in the Carpet Cushion Council provides:
- Active advocacy work on federal, state and local legislation and regulatory issues which could potentially impact the Carpet Cushion industry; Access to legal analyses of laws and regulations that affect the Carpet Cushion industry.
- Contact and cooperation with other associations important to the continued sustainability of the Carpet Cushion industry.
- Access to Technical Manager with specialized knowledge of chemistry and engineering associated with Carpet Cushion.
- Complimentary annual laboratory analysis of trace levels of flame retardant (FR) chemicals in bonded cushion products.
- Discounted participation fee for Green Label Plus (GLP) certification, which is the leading indoor air quality environmental program for Carpet Cushion. CCC administers the program; Technical Manager communicates test results to participants, offering explanations for the emission of specific chemical substances; Member discount averages $4,700 per year.
- Twice yearly meetings where members hear from outside experts, and receive detailed updates on regulatory and technical issues impacting the industry. Meetings also provide an opportunity for Manufacturing Members to interact with Associate (Supplier) Members.
- Opportunity to participate in, and have access to the data resulting from various industry cushion testing and other environmental, safety and health-related technical studies.
- Availability of CCC's information network, including literature regarding Carpet Cushion benefits and standards, as well as technical research.
